Traditions BBQ is about family, food, and the memories that go along with them. Joshua Peterson started learning family recipes alongside his father and his father-in-law. They passed down their ‘traditions’ which collectively created a love for time spent around a cooker with family. It was his experience as a part of his father-in-laws award winning bbq competition team The Arsonist’s that really stoked the embers of Josh's love for Barbecue. 

"My Pops named my competition team Shade Tree BBQ but I chose Traditions as the name of this business to honor both sides of our family roots."  To keep the love and feelings of the Shade Tree alive, we made that our logo with roots that run deep and slow cooking under an oak tree that takes its sweet time. 

Traditions is rooted in the memories that gave Josh his start and we hope to be a part of your memories as we cater your family events. 

Along with his wife, Lindsey, and their two boys, the Traditions BBQ team is building a legacy around family - ours and yours.
